Joseph and Kimberly King were both born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. They met as teenagers in 1974 and married on 25 April 1981. Joseph is a retired Marine after serving over 27 years of active duty service. He has a degree in theology, and is currently pursuing a degree in psychology/Christian Counseling. Joseph has served in various areas of ministry. He was ordained Deacon May 1997 and licensed to minister in November 1998. He was Ordained by Pastor Leroy Kirkland of Bethel Word Ministries, Jacksonville, NC in June 2000. 2000-2002 the Kings reached the heart of the community in Okinawa, Japan and developed a vibrant full gospel ministry.
They accepted the call and were appointed to pastor Acts Tabernacle Christian Church in 2002. Joseph was then ordained under Bishop James E. Bolden, Evangelistic Ministries, Jacksonville Arkansas in April 2002. After 18 months as Pastor and in need of spiritual fathering/pastoral guidance, Joseph asked Bishop, Dr. Virgil D. Patterson of Crusade Christian Faith Center to be his spiritual father and Pastor. Agreement was made and on 18th of April 2004, Joseph's Pastor ordained him under the National Organization of Nondenominational-Full Gospel Ministries. Hallelujah!
Pastor King discerned that God was expanding the ministry's vision to becomme more Kingdom focused. Through prayer and fasting, God revealed the need to change the name of the ministry from Acts Tabernacle to Kingdom Outreach Ministries International (KOMI). The name change was official in January 2006. Since that time, God has opened the doors for KOMI to minister to people of all ages, races, genders and cultures throughout the island of Okinawa. In 2008 KOMI made a move by faith from the second floor of a furniture store to a 2 story building in a prime location. In 2009, The Kings planted Kingdom Outreach Ministries International VA (Now in Dumfries VA.) where Timothy & Rochelle Lucas are Pastors. In 2010 the Kings planted Judah Sunrise Ministries in Yaka Village, Okinawa Japan, where Vincent and Valicia Smith are Pastors. In June of 2012, The Kings planted a ministry in Henoko Village, Okinawa Japan named Zebulun Christian Outreach Ministries. They have been training, equiping, and sending ministers, elders, and pastors since founding KOMI. As they continue to take ministry to unreached territory in Japan, God graces them to fulfill the apostolic mandate on their lives! Vision is to yet plant a Japanese ministry here in Japan and Prophetic Ministries International in MA, USA.
Kimberly has a passion for prayer and a prophetic anointing that helps push ministry to the next level. She has been ordained by Bishop Virgil D. Patterson as an Evangelist and as a Pastor. Kimberly teaches 3rd grade in the DODDS system and has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Maryland. She has served in ministry from Women's Ministry, Choir Director to Praise and Worship Leader and many other areas. She is a woman of God who operates in prophetic ministry and oversees the Okinawa House of Prayer, a ministry of intercessors who stand in the gap for the nations and declaring, decreeing, and legislating paving way for the current and future moves of God. She is an encourager and exhorter of the saints. She works along side her Apostle and Senior Pastor/Husband preparing saints to do the work of the ministry.
Over the past three and a half years Apostle and Pastor King have led, and continue to lead Kingdom Outreach Ministries International in an upward direction. All areas of the ministry are continuing to increase in the natural and spiritual as they follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. The equipping of the saints, the experience of true worship, spiritual growth and expansion of the facilities to accommodate the manifestations of the vision are results of their leadership and commitment to the work of the ministry.
